Samuel C. Parkhurst Jr., of Fulton, NY passed away peacefully after fighting a prolonged battle against cancer; at home while surrounded by his family. Mr. Parkhurst was born in Fulton, NY to the late Samuel C. Parkhurst Sr., and Florence (Jenkins) Parkhurst. He has been a longtime resident of Fulton, NY. Mr. Parkhurst was past employed with Shapiro’s, Oswego and Port City Ford, Oswego as an Auto Mechanic. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and loved his dogs. Mr. Parkhurst also enjoyed watching and participating in Dirt Racing and Go-carts Racing. He would help family in the pits, and he also worked his brother-in-law’s crew chief.
Mr. Parkhurst is survived by his loving family: his wife of 30 years: Regina (Trepasso) Parkhurst of Fulton; his children: Gabrielle (Joshua Davies) Henry of Scriba, NY; Samuel Parkhurst III of Parish, NY; Kenneth (Joann Burch) Parkhurst of VA; Amanda (David) Ritter of Fulton; and Brandi (William) Hollis of Fulton; his siblings: Larry Parkhurst of Fulton; Leonard (Tammy) Parkhurst of Phoenix, NY; and Pattie (Kevin Marrill) Parkhurst of Syracuse, NY. Mr. Parkhurst is also survived by his father-in-law: Thomas Trepasso of Fulton; brothers-in-law: John (Kelly) Garrison of Fulton, Stewart (Julie) Garrison of NC; sisters-in-law: Michelle Ballentine of PA, Karen (Chuck) Kimball of Liverpool, NY; and Julie (Jim Fox) Warren of Albany, NY; and his devoted grandchildren: Trenton, Caydence, Ethan, Blake, Allison, Kameron, George, Alexa, Audrey, Pierce, Lewis, Landon, Levi, Derick, Serenity, Leland and Hendrix; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Parkhurst was pre-deceased by his granddaughter: Emily Parkhurst, his in-laws: Bonnie and John Garrison, mother-in-law: Barbara Trepasso, his sister: Sharon Parkhurst, and brother-in-law: Ronald Trepasso.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours.
The Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton, NY 13069 has care of the arrangements.

So sorry to hear of Sonny’s passing. He and his sister, Sharon were two of my favorite cousin. While we haven’t seen much of each other in later years, whenever we crossed paths it was old home week and we’d chat for ever. He will always own a piece of my heart…
