Linden E. “Gene” Kilts, 79; of Palermo, NY passed away peacefully in University Hospital, Syracuse with his friend by his side.
Gene was born in Syracuse, NY to the late Linden and Theresa Kilts. He has remained a resident of Palermo, NY for most of his life. He was past employed as a truck driver having operated as an owner/operator and also an employee for many transit companies the last being Laser Transit, Lacona, NY. Gene could be he life of any party he attended. He loved to camp, fish and enjoy a good joke and have a toddy on occasion.
He was pre-deceased by his sister Shirley Cook and his niece Julie Mooso.
Mr. Kilts is survived by his children: Richard “Rick” Kilts of NC, Mark (Tammy) Kilts of Pennellville, NY and Julie (Mike) McMullen of Sherrill, NY; his former spouse: Pat Kilts of Fulton, NY; siblings: Linda LaBombard of Plattsburgh, NY and Steven Kilts of Bothell, WA. Gene is also survived by his best friend Alex Nipper of Palermo, NY; 8 grandchildren: Jeffrey Kilts, Kaitlyn Kilts, Daniel Nentwick, Joshua Kilts, Jacob Martin, Hailey McMullen, Alana McMullen and Karrigan McMullen; 1 great grandson: Nolan Fitzgerald and several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with Gene’s wishes: Dance little Genie prefers you to tip one in his honor as there will be no Calling Hours or Funeral Service.
Burial will be held privately.
