Michael D. Tesoriero, 57, of Oswego died Sunday evening at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Oswego, the son of Rose (Diment) Tesoriero and the late Thomas J. Tesoriero. Michael owned and operated Tesoriero’s Plumbing and Heating. He loved to dance and was known by many as the Disco King. Michael enjoyed working, hunting and being with his family. Michael would always say, “My work is my hobby.” He is survived by his beloved wife Deborah Tesoriero, stepchildren Dana J. Murray, and Morgan Murray, his mother Rose Tesoriero, his brothers Tom (Dana) Tesoriero, and Dr. Richard (Angela) Tesoriero all of Oswego, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be Thursday 9:30 a.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Wednesday 2:00 –4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home 147 West Fourth Street, Oswego. In lieu flowers contributions may be made to the Friends of Oswego County Hospice.
Rest in peace dear Michael. We are fortunate to have known you for most of your short years. You will never be forgotten. May your family be comforted by the thoughts & prayers of all of us who care.
To the Tesoriero family, I am so sorry for your loss my thoughts and prayers are with all of you. For my greatest friend my heart breaks for you. I am so sorry that you and Michael had to endure this I am sure that it has made your love for each other even greater, if that was even possible. To Rose and sons. and of course to his wife and children I cannot say how sorry I am for your loss.. Michael was a great guy and will be greatly missed by his friends and family. He is now at peace and no longer suffering. Remember-“Death ends a life,not a relationship”. May cherished memories of happy times you all shared be forever in your hearts and minds.

We will all miss Mike, he was a one of a kind. Ronnie always enjoyed working with Mike–called him “the animal” — he was a worker!!! We always had such fun at the Pipe Fitters dinner dances with our Mike Travolta–he was a riot to watch and a great dancer. Our love goes out to all the family and their loss. We will all remember the good times and dwell on them. Mike would want us to do that. Debbie, our love is esp to you and remember what I told you –we are here for you if you need us for anything.

My dearest Michael,
We are now having the time of our lives and for some strange reason beyond our control along comes the worse thing that could possibly happen in the world. It was not anything that you did. And it was not anything that you could have stopped.
Cancer, it is the worst word that could ever come out of any ones mouth.
It only just a word, like any other, but a very, very bad word. There are many other words I could say that seem to be much worse (and we all know that I have said them quite often) but in reality they are not as bad.
However, cancer is in a category of its own.
My dearest Michael I love you so, and you know that there was not anything that we could have done different. You never gave up and fought to the end. I cannot believe that one person could endure that much pain and suffering. I watched you every day and all night long, so I could imbed the image of your face in my brain. Every touch, every smell, every tear.
We had some of our best times just talking about all of our best times. I am so grateful that we had this time to spend together.
You are the light of my life and I will never let that burn out because, you gave me the strength to put up with anything. (because you were a hard ass, and if I could put up with that, I can put up with anything) You have taught me almost everything that you know. I also have taught you a few things that you did not know and that was, to be gentler, kinder and to love children that were not even your own. You have taught them so much that sometimes I think they were yours all along. They love you more than you could know. They respect you and appreciate everything that you have ever taught them and had given them.
Thank you for loving me so much. I feel honored that I am your wife. I will never forget us as one.
I will see you again one day and I hope you will be looking for me as I will be looking for you. You are and will always be the love of my life.
I love you baby doll, and will miss you forever.

Tom and Rick, very sorry. Your brother was a great person. I enjoyed getting to know him in the late 80s when I worked at Diment Construction, and I have good memories of Michael showing off his peacocks to me.
