William L. Murphy, 77, of Basile, LA., and a former resident of Fulton died Tuesday in LA. He was retired from the United States Navy Submarine Service as a Chief Petty Officer. Mr. Murphy was the son of the late James and Anna (Kuster) Murphy, and he was  predeceased by his son Bob Murphy in 2003. Mr. Murphy is survived by his wife Ann Murphy of Basile LA, his son James (Sharon) Murphy of Eunice, LA and his sisters Catherine Brooks of Fulton, Helen Lyons of Auburn, Madalyn (Charles) Harris of Seneca Hill, and Loretta Dehm of Oswego.  Funeral services were held privately local arrangements  were in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home,Oswego.
