Joseph S. Hryb, 77, of New Haven died Wednesday February 16, 2022 in Seneca Hill Manor with his family by his side. Mr. Hryb was born in Youngstown, Ohio the son of the late Nicholas and Irene (Malinyak) Hryb. He was a retired employee of Eastman Kodak, Rochester after 23 years as a tool & die maker. Mr. Hryb was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving from 1965 until 1969. He enjoyed shopping for work working tools, and fishing equipment. In addition to his parents Mr. Hryb was predeceased by his brother Eugene Hryb. Mr.
Hryb is survived by his partner of 32 years Cheryl Hawkins of New Haven, sister-in-law Patricia Hryb of Arizona, and his niece Sheila Petrollini, and nephew Mark Hryb.
In accordance with Mr. Hryb’s wishes there will be no services.
The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego.
Jim and I are so sorry for your loss..we both remember him as Genes brother and from Chaney high school ..good ol west side boys…he was a gentle giant and will be remembered as such
