Harold West Jr.

Harold West Jr., 90; of Fulton passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse after succumbing to the virus.  He was born to the late Harold and Clara West Sr.  Mr. West remained a lifetime resident of Fulton before moving into Pontiac Nursing Home, Oswego.  He was a 1948 graduate of the Fulton High School.  While Mr. West lacked the social skills necessary to remain in a formal workplace he was described by his friends as a brilliant man.  Mr. West could answer all the questions related to the trivia game shows he watched on television  and knew the answers to questions that contestants could not answer.  He was also a generous man who opened his home for several years to help a man with special needs remain independent.

Mr. West is survived by his friends especially Dominic “Doc” Manitta of Fulton who tried to aid in his care through the years.

Burial was held privately in Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton. A Spring Graveside Service will be conducted.
