Donna L. Allen, 83; of Fulton passed away Easter Sunday, April 12th, 2020 at Riverside Community Hospital, Riverside, CA. Donna was born January 21, 1937 to the late Irving and Helen (Schnoepel) Galusha. She had remained a lifelong resident of Fulton, NY. Donna had been the Valedictorian of the Fulton High School graduating class of 1954 and she continued her undergraduate education at Cornell University, Syracuse University. Donna graduated from the State University of NY at Oswego and went on to be a teacher for the Fulton School District. She was also a co-owner and operator of Koski Insurance Agency, Fulton until her retirement in 1997. Donna was an avid reader, puzzle solver and iPad junkie. She was also a golfer and member of the Oswego Country Club. Donna was a long-time member and trustee of the First Presbyterian Church, Fulton and was currently an active member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Fulton. She was known for her graciousness, love, and empathy for all those she encountered. Donna will be missed by everyone she touched throughout her life including individuals in her family, community, church and work. She is survived by her husband of 65 years: Alfred Allen of Fulton, their four children: Gail Garrow of Loon Lake, NY; Lynne (Robert) Hunter of Lake Placid, NY; Susan (Paul) Talwar of Jacksonville, FL; and Scott (Corinne) Allen of Pacific Grove, CA; her sister Nancy Thomas of Reston, VA; 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Donna was pre-deceased by her siblings: Helen Devitt, and James Galusha, and her son-in-law Mark Garrow. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 64 Gillespie Rd., Fulton. To honor NYS mandates you are asked to remain in your vehicles until you are invited to greet the family. Burial in Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton will be held at the convenience of the family.
