Carla A. Abbott, 68; of Fulton passed away Tuesday at her home surrounded by her family. Carla was born in Fulton, NY to the late Carl and Virginia (Cook) Taylor. Mrs. Abbott was previously employed with NY Telephone, and later retired from Nestles Co., Fulton after 20 years of service. In retirement Mrs. Abbott retrained as a Dental Assistant and also a Home Health Aid. Carla took a job at Bishop Commons, Oswego where she enjoyed working until she decided to truly retire. Mrs. Abbott was an avid reader, decorator, and shopper. She also enjoyed completing crossword puzzles. Carla was an active grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her children: Stephen (Amy) Otis of Rochester, Stephanie Congdon and fiancée Patrick Dillingham of Fulton, Kearsten (Donald) Blake of Fulton, her sister: Nancy (Brian) McKiernan of Oswego, 8 grandchildren: Shelby, Stephen, Brittany, Andrew, Kylee, Evan, Maddison, Nathan, 2 great grandchildren: Jade and a Baby Boy due in July and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Abbott was pre-deceased by her brother: Michael Taylor. Funeral Services will be held Friday 9:00 AM at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton with Rev. Greg Kreinheder officiating. Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours will be held Thursday from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.
