Vincent “Vinnie” Vescio, 45 of Oswego and Pennsylvania, died Sunday February 28, 2016 in PA. Vinnie was born in Oswego the son of the Theresa (Cottom) Vescio of Oswego, and the late Rosario Joseph Vescio Sr. Vinnie worked as a landscaper and a cook. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and bowler, and was a crew member with various racing teams at the Oswego Speedway. Vinnie is a graduate of Bishop Cunningham High School, Oswego. In addition to his mother Theresa Vescio of Oswego he is survived by his longtime girlfriend Angie Powell of PA, nephews Dan and Bob Weegar, nieces Jill Weegar Miller, and Bianca Vescio Kress, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his father, Vinnie was predeceased by his brother Rosario Joseph Vescio Jr., and sister Gail Vescio Weegar. Funeral services will be Monday April 14, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home. Calling hours will be Monday March 14, 2016 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4th. St Oswego. In lieu of flowers the family request donation be made to PAWS across Oswego County, 2035 County Rte 1, Oswego, NY.
