Frank J. MazzoliFrank J. Mazzoli, 83, of Oswego died Sunday October 18, 2015 at his home with his family at his side. He was born in Oswego the son of the late Angelo and Rose (Giaquinto) Mazzoli. He was the assistant vice president of the Physical Plant at SUNY Oswego until his retirement in September 30, 1990. Mr. Mazzoli served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, the Knights of Columbus, the ELKS, and the Oswego Snow belters. Mr. Mazzoli was a communicant of St. Joseph Church, a past trustee, usher and bingo worker. He was past president of the Oswego Board of Education, and he helped to form the Black Knights, drum and bugle corp. He is survived by his loving family Katherine Mazzoli of Oswego; daughter Diane Mazzoli Jones of Oswego; son Frank Mazzoli of CA; brothers: John (Gloria) Mazzoli of Oswego; George Mazzoli of New Haven; half-brothers James (Robin) Pagliaroli of Ohio; two grandchildren Christie, and Wesley Michael Jones. He was predeceased by his siblings: Angelo Mazzoli, Edward Mazzoli, Louis Mazzoli, Florence Coffin, Susan Cernaro, Joseph Piano, and Mary Fetheroff; half-brothers: Robert Pagliaroli, Thomas Piano and half-sister Frances Laurie. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday at St. Paul’s Church, Oswego where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Guy. Burial will be held in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego. Calling hours will be conducted 4:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 West 4th St. Oswego, NY 13126.
