Roland “Peanut” Vanderhaden

Roland “Peanut” Vanderhaden, 71; of Fulton died Friday at Oswego Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Fulton to the late Charles and Mary “Lucille” (Blake) Vanderhaden. He remained a lifetime resident of Fulton. Mr. Vanderhaden was past employed with Mirabito’s, Fulton and the Knifeworks, Fulton. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing and as he got older he loved having “coffee hour” and socializing with his family and friends. Mr. Vanderhaden was pre-deceased by his twin brother Ronny Vanderhaden, and siblings: Patricia VanDusen, Donald Vanderhaden, Edward Vanderhaden, Charles Vanderhaden and Sharon Vanderhaden. Mr. Vanderhaden is survived by his niece and caregiver Mary Ann Kimball of Fulton, 5 siblings: Gary Vanderhaden of Fulton, William (Carol) Vanderhaden of Fulton, Carol Hendricks of Fulton, Linda Bartosek of Oswego, Donna (Clarence) Duciaume of TX and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 10 AM Tuesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Moritz Fuchs officiating. Burial will be in Fairdale Cemetery, Hannibal, NY. Calling hours will be conducted 9:00 to 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.
