Tom Makin, 55, of Oswego died Wednesday July 16, 2014 after a sudden attack. He was born in Ocean City, CA the son of Ann Makin of Oswego, and the late Ralph Makin. Tom lived in California, and then worked as on the offshore oil rigs in Louisiana, before moving to Oswego, where he was a former maintenance man for Dr. Ram in Oswego. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching most sports. In addition to his mother Tom is survived by his partner of 20 years Jackie Clarke of Oswego and children Gabriel Makin of Louisiana, Alex Makin of Oswego, Stephen Monette of FL, Adam Monette of Oswego, Emily Monette of Oswego, his siblings Theresa (Larry Steinburg) Makin of Oswego, Kathy (Ed) Duda of Ct., Robert Makin of FL, and 2 nieces. Calling hours will be Sunday from 1:00 -3:00 at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4th. St. Oswego. Services will be Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
