Susan Pelton, of Rome, NY, died Thursday May 22, 2014 in the Rome Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Pelton was born in Rome, NY the daughter of the late Anthony & Lena (Peraino) DeSimone. Mrs. Pelton retired from Marine Midland Bank, Rome after twenty-five years of service. She was a strong supporter of the American Cancer Society. Mrs. Pelton was predeceased by her husband Kenneth Lyle Pelton, her sister Marie Walker, and her brother Michael DeSimone. Mrs. Pelton is survived by her sister Kay DeSimone of Rome, and nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday May 28, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Paul’s Church, Rome. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Rome. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 Chestnut St. Rome, NY. The arrangements are in the care of Mrs. Pelton’s cousins of the Sugar Funeral Home, Fulton, NY. Memorial gifts may be made to St. Paul’s Church Memorial Fund, Rome NY.
