Shirley Lehnis

Shirley Lehnis, 69; of Fulton; died Monday at University Hospital, Syracuse after a short illness. She was born in Buffalo, NY to the late Guy and Florence (Harvey) Francis. She has been a resident of Fulton, NY since 2007 until just recently when she moved to Scriba, NY to be with her daughter. Mrs. Lehnis was past owner and operator of the Arcade Hotel and Restaurant, Arcade, NY. She was also employed with Towpath Towers, Fulton in the Maintenance Dept., and she worked with Workload Temporary Agency. Mrs. Lehnis was a past volunteer with the Fulton Salvation Army where she helped as a cook. She was pre-deceased by her special friend Albert Morgan in 1989. Mrs. Lehnis is survived by her children: Susan (Steve Boak) Snyder of Scriba, NY; Howard (Lisa) Gohn of Buffalo, NY, Guy Gohn of OH, and David Martin of SC, 6 grandchildren: David, Jessica, Cassie, William, Dale and Lisa; 10 great grandchildren: Holana, Trent, Elle, Kiara, Ceara, Javante, David III, Devin, Sky, Erin and one on the way, and several siblings, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services and Burial will be held privately. Calling hours will be conducted 9:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc. 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton has care of the arrangements.
