Robert W. Capeling Sr., 83; formerly of Minetto, NY died Friday, December 16th at Oswego Hospital. He was born in Oswego, NY to the late Henry and Amy (Honey) Capeling. He was a resident of Minetto, NY for most of his life. Mr. Capeling retired from Industrial Fabrication, Syracuse. He also worked at Lamson, Syracuse, NY; Black Clawson, Fulton, Northern Ready Mix, Volney, NY and Northern Steel, Oswego, NY. Mr. Capeling enjoyed hunting, fishing and he was an avid reader. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Blanche Capeling of Minetto, NY; 3 children: John Robert (Jim Ketcham) Capeling of Taberg, NY, Robert William (Karen) Capeling Jr. of Volney, NY, and Ellen (Eddie) Ingles of WV, his brother Clinton (Bessie) Capeling of Liverpool, NY, his sister Margaret Murray of Dryden, NY; 4 grandchildren: Amanda Capeling of Minetto, NY; John, Tom, and James Ingles of WV, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Capeling was predeceased by his brothers: John and George Capeling and step-sister Annie Cole. A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
