Robert H. Phelps, 80, of Fulton died Saturday at St. Joseph’s Hospital Dialysis Center after a long illness. Mr. Phelps was born in Fulton and has remained a life resident. He was a United States Veteran having served in the Air force as a pilot during the Korean War from 1950 to 1955. He retired as an Electric Engineer after 30+ years with General Electric, Syracuse. He was also a member of the Elk’s Club and an avid hunter. Mr. Phelps loved to fly airplanes, bowl, and golf. He is survived by his wife of 20 years Marjorie Phelps of Fulton, his 3 children: Brad (Karen) Phelps of Webster, NY, Brian (Catherine) Phelps of Fulton, and Gail (Ric) Wagner of VA, his sister Barbara Ingersoll of FL, and 2 grandchildren: Elliot and Addison. Funeral Services and Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours. The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton has care of the arrangements.
