Robert Callen, 88; of Fulton died Wednesday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse. He was born in Oswego, NY to the late James and Jennie (Seymour) Callen. Mr. Callen was a resident of Fulton for most of his life. He was a United States Veteran having served in the Marine Corp. during WWII stationed in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Callen retired from Sealright Co., Fulton and he was a past president and vice president of the AFLCIO Union #54. Mr. Callen was a member of the Fulton VFW Post #569, the US Marine Corp. League, Knights of Columbus St. Joseph’s Council #254 and the Ancient Order of the Hibernians. He was pre-deceased by 1 grandson Jason Clark, and 10 siblings. Mr. Callen is survived by his wife of 61 years Flora Cardinali Callen of Fulton, 5 children: Elizabeth (Robert) Clark of Oswego, Sistine Callen of Fulton, Anne Marie (Joseph) Antinozzi of CT, Robert (Patricia) Callen of Boston, MA, and Lorraine (Chip) Cole of Oswego, 1 brother Charles Callen of Fulton, 5 grandchildren: Mary Kate (Dave) Stania, Lauren Marie Callen, Emily Mae Cole, Sarah (Bryan) May, Nicole Antinozzi, 2 great grandchildren: Elijah House, Trevor May and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 8:30 AM Saturday at Holy Trinity Church where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be conducted at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. The Fulton VFW Post #569 Honor Guard will bestow military Honors. Calling hours will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.
