Richard J. Henderson, 75, of Scriba died Tuesday September 30, 2014 at his home after a short illness. Mr. Henderson was born in Oswego the son of Marie (Sheridan) Henderson and the late Spencer Henderson. He was predeceased by his son Dick Henderson. Mr. Henderson retired as a laborer with Laborer’s Local #214. He served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed motorcycle riding and spending time with his dog. In addition to his mother Marie Henderson he is survived by his longtime partner Deborah Larkin of Scriba and his children Cindi (Scott) Johnson of Maryland, Ron Henderson, Michael Broadwell, and stepsons Gilbert (Andrea) Trout, Benjamin Trout, Daniel Trout, and siblings Bette Paice of Red Creek, David Henderson and Spencer Henderson both of Oswego, and several grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Wednesday October 8, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. in Riverside Cemetery. The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. 4th. St. Oswego

  1. I worked with Dick in the mid-1960’s. A hard working man. Although it has been many years I often thought about him. My condolences.
