Phyllis Ferraro, 83, a former resident of  Garden Drive, Oswego died Monday evening in Loretto Heights after a short illness. Phyllis was born in Queens, NY the daughter of the late Philipo and Elviro (Case) Palmetto, and she has been a resident of Long Island and Florida before moving to Oswego in 2005. She worked as a private duty Physical Therapist in Florida, with many elderly people in there own homes. Phyllis was predeceased by her daughter Arlene Ferraro in 1989, and one grandson Jason Ferraro. She is survived by her ex husband Enrico Ferraro of Long Island, and their children Ron (Joan) Ferraro of Long Island, Michael Ferraro of Long Island, Patricia Ferraro of Florida, Vickie (Anthony) Borsetti of Oswego, Edward Ferraro of Florida, James (Mary) Ferraro of Oswego, and Phyllis (Russell) Rowsell of Long Island. In addition to her children she is survived by her brother John Palmetto of Florida, and sisters Patricia Correa and Geraldine Palmetto both of Florida, and 19 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be private. The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 West Fourth Street, Oswego.
