Philip B. Gillard, 80; of Port Richey, FL and Fulton, NY died Saturday at his son’s home in Fulton after a long illness. He was native of Fulton and he has remained a life resident of Fulton and later Port Richey, FL. Mr. Gillard was retired from the Plumbers-Pipe Fitter’s Local #267, Syracuse, NY. He was a past member of the Elk’s Club, and Pairs N Squares-Modern Square Dancing. Mr. Gillard was pre-deceased by his daughter Lynette MacDougall in 2002 his wife S. Patricia Gillard in 2008 and his siblings Aileen Day, Fred Gillard, Thomas Gillard and William Gillard. He is survived by his children Denise (Alun) Jones of TN, Marty (Peggy) Gillard of Fulton, Phyllis Cologgi of Rochester, NY, Leslie (Steve) Van Austin of Endicott, NY; Sharon (Pete) Lubert-Hennis of NC; and son-in-law Thomas MacDougall of Scriba, NY; 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 am Wednesday at Holy Trinity Church. Burial of Mr. and Mrs. Gillard will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton following the service. There will be no calling hours. The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton, NY has care of the arrangements.
