Mary S. Bortle

Mary S. Bortle, 48; of Fulton died Tuesday unexpectedly at Oswego Hospital.  She was born in Tonawanda, NY to the late William and Mary (Himmelsbach) Kavanaugh Sr. She was a library aid with the Fulton Consolidated School System.  Mrs. Bortle was a member of the Hannibal VFW Auxiliary.  She was pre-deceased by her brother William C. Kavanaugh in 1985.  She is survived by her sons Nicholas W. Bortle of Hannibal, and Raymond D. Bortle both of Hannibal, her sisters Robin (David) Rast of VT., and Michele (Robert ) Corey of Hannibal, NY and several nieces and nephews.  A memorial mass will be conducted 9:30 AM Monday at Holy Trinity Church, Fulton where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Moritz Fuchs.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.  There will be no calling hours.  The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton has care of the arrangements.

Earl Fitzpatrick

Earl Fitzpatrick Jr., 52 passed away March 26 at LeHigh Acres Medical Center, FL. Earl was born in Syracuse, and he graduated from DeVillo Sloan School, in 1978. He moved to St. Augustine, FL in 1980 and presently resided in LeHigh Acres. Earl loved to make people laugh; he had the brightest smile, biggest hugs and toughest handshake, along with a heart of gold. Earl was predeceased by his father Earl Sr. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother Geraldine Fitzpatrick: two sisters Theresa (Robert) June, Penny (Matthew) King, one brother James Fitzpatrick along with many family members and friends. Memorial services will be Saturday July 31, at 11:00 a.m. at Steven Gould’s home 538 State Route 176 Hannibal, NY. Local arrangements were by the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home.

Connie Grosvent

Connie Grosvent, 73; of Fulton died peacefully Monday at home. She was born to the late Vito and Mary (Ferro) Clavelli in Fulton and she has remained a life resident of Fulton. Mrs. Grosvent worked for Montgomery Wards, and helped staff Dr. Brown’s private office before retiring in 1999 from Sealright as a packer. Post retirement Mrs. Grosvent worked as a lunch lady and door monitor with the Fulton Consolidated School System/Granby Elementary. She was a past member of the Catholic Daughters. Mrs. Grosvent enjoyed volunteering with the Board of Elections. She was the United Way Chairman for 10 years, and worked as the snack bar hostess on weekends at Oswego Hospital. She enjoyed being an active grandmother, visiting the casinos, and spending time with her best companion Aunt Anne Lalik. Mrs. Grosvent was pre-deceased by her husband Richard B. Grosvent, and siblings Patricia Elkin, Anthony, and Frank Clavelli. She is survived by her son Rick (Candida) Grosvent of Fulton, brother Dominic (Rita) Clavelli of Oswego, sister Mary Jane (John) McGraw of Fulton, 5 grandchildren: Joshua (Lindsay,) Grosvent, Joseph (Amber Bartow) Grosvent, Trevor, Christopher, and Marguerite Grosvent, and great grandchild: Lena Grosvent. Funeral Services will be held 9:00 AM Friday in the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Robert Stephenson officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours will be conducted 4:00 t0 7:00 PM Thursday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. Fulton.

Anna Mae Conn

Anna Mae Conn, 72; of Fulton died Thursday, at University Hospital, Syracuse after a short illness. She was born in Fulton, NY to the late John and Jane (Williams) Kinsman. Mrs. Conn has remained a life resident of Fulton. She worked as an assembler with Eagle Comtronics, Liverpool, NY for 15 years. Mrs. Conn was an avid fan of Syracuse University Sports and she also enjoyed going to the Casino. Mrs. Conn was pre-deceased by her husband William Conn in 2007. She is survived by her children: Brian (Colleen Whalen) Conn of Oswego, Debbie Conn of Fulton, and Bill (Tally) Conn of Liverpool, NY; her siblings Betty Beeles of CT, Doris Ives of Fulton, and Russ (Polly) Kinsman of Hannibal, her 5 grandchildren: Aaron, Alex, Amanda, Ashleigh, and Jeremy Conn and several nieces and nephews. Carmelina Santoro

Carmelina Santoro, 98; of Fulton died at Community General Hospital, Syracuse after a short illness.  She was born in Oswego to the late Charles and Rose (Patti) Penna.  Mrs. Santoro retired in 1965 after 37 years from Sealright Co., as a quality controller and typesetter.  She was an avid reader, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, and participating in choir.  She was a volunteer with A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital’s snack bar, and reception desk.  She was also a volunteer with Lanigan Elementary School, Fulton.  Mrs. Santoro was pre-deceased by her husband Charles C. Santoro in 1978 and her son Charles R. Santoro in 2006.  She is survived by her son Dennis and daughter-in-law Sharon Santoro of Fulton, 2 nephews and several nieces.  Funeral Services will be conducted 9:30 AM Wednesday at Holy Trinity Church where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.  Burial will be held privately at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.  There will be no calling hours.  The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Daniel F. “Dan” Tetro, 66; died at Crossings Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility, Minoa, NY after a long illness.  He was born in Fulton to the late Angelo and Carrie (DiBello) Tetro.  He was a resident of Fulton for most of his life.  Mr. Tetro received a Batchelor of Arts degree in Communications from the State University of New York at Oswego.  He was a scholar athlete in Football at Santa Barbara City College, CA and the University of Nevada, Reno.  Mr. Tetro owned and operated Cavone’s Pizza Supplies for 18 years and he was a licensed Sales Associate with Century 21 Gallagher Reality, Oswego.    Mr. Tetro enjoyed traveling, and visited most of the United States.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He was pre-deceased by his former wife Susan Rodems.  Mr. Tetro is survived by his brothers Jerry “Carol” Tetro of Seminole, FL., Thomas Tetro of Fulton, Paul “Mary “ Tetro of Fulton, nephews Mark, Brian, Rob, and Jeff Tetro, Adam Looker, niece Kymberly Tetro, and dear friend Paula Dehm of Oswego.  Funeral Services will be held 7:00 PM Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Moritz Fuchs officiating.  Burial will be held 9:00 AM Saturday at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.  Calling hours will be conducted 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday in the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.

Nathaniel Bergene, infant son of Christopher and Sara Bergene of Cortland went to heaven Friday. In addition to his parents Nathaniel is survived by his siblings Collin,and Brianna Bergene, paternal grandparents Theodore and Mary Bergene of Oswego, maternal grandparents Joanne and Flake Brick of Colorado, paternal great grandmother Erna Richards of Cooperstown, and maternal great grandmother Maxine Payne of Colorado. Funeral services will be Wednesday 10:30 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego. The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 West Fourth Street, Oswego.

Nunzy Corsoniti, 90; previously of 411 Oak St. died Thursday at Michaud Residential Health Service, Fulton.  Mr. Corsoniti was born to the late Anthony and Rose (Fino) Corsoniti.  He worked at Corsoniti Bothers Service Station for many years before becoming a barber.  He owned and operated Nunzy’s Barber Shop, located in Fulton and Oswego.  Mr. Corsoniti loved playing cards with his brothers and sisters. He was an avid fan of horse racing and loved going to OTB.  He was pre-deceased by his wife of 60 years Pauline (Pascucci) Corsoniti in 2001, his brothers:  Frank and Joseph Corsoniti, and his sisters Nancy Corsoniti, Florence Froio, Catherine Arcadi, and Liz DiNardo.  He is survived by his son Anthony (Marjorie) Corsoniti of Fulton, daughters:  Nancy (Patrick) Frawley of Oswego, Joanne Cory of Fulton, his brother Anthony Corsoniti, 3 sisters Nicoline Iamaio, Rose Tenery, and Mary Latino all of Fulton, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Memorial Services will be held 9:30 AM Thursday at Holy Trinity Church where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.  Burial will be held privately at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.  Calling hours will be conducted 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Robert C. Duttinger

Robert C. Duttinger, 62; of Granby died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at home surrounded by family. He was born in Wilkes Barre, PA and he has been a longtime resident of Oswego County.   Robert was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather.  His greatest legacy was said to be his love and exceptional closeness with his family and friends. Robert was a United States Veteran having served 2 tours of duty with the Navy during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1971 stationed on the USS Chipola and  Arakara.  He was a self-employed carpenter before he retired from Oswego Hospital in 1998 as a NYS Certified Building Mechanic. Robert was pre-deceased by his father Robert L. Duttinger and his brother William Duttinger.  He is survived by his wife of 40 years Lynn (DiGuardi) Duttinger of Granby, his 4 children: Robert J. Duttinger of Granby, NY; Carolyn (Eric) LaRoche of Chesapeake, VA, Chrissa (Todd) Butler of Oswego, NY, Sarah Duttinger of Chesapeake, VA; his mother Charlotte Entz of Hamlin, NY, 6 siblings:  Kenneth Duttinger of Rochester, NY; Terrance Duttinger of Rochester, NY, David Duttinger of Hamlin, NY, Martin Duttinger of Rochester, NY, Margaret Frank of Spencerport, NY, Elaine Smith of Rochester, NY, 5 grandchildren:  Alex and Logan LaRoche, Adam and Abigail Butler, Jamison Simms, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.  Memorial Services will be held 9:30 AM    Monday at Holy Trinity Church, Fulton where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev.
