Betty Laurent

Betty Laurent, 86, of Fulton died Friday at Michaud Nursing Home after a long illness. Mrs. Laurent was born in Oswego and has been a resident of Fulton for most of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. She was a Life member of the Oswego VFW Post #2320 Ladies Auxiliary, and an avid bowler. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Laurent Sr. in 1988. Mrs. Laurent is survived by her children Barbara (Tom) Trepasso of Fulton, Jeanette (Dan) Lyons of Oswego, Deborah (Brian) Cannizo of NC, Cynthia Ballard of Hannibal, David (Teresa) Carosella of TX, Barry (Susan) Laurent of TX, fourteen grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday 9:00 a.m. at the Sugar Funeral Home, and 9:30a.m in Holy Trinity Church. Burial will be in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Sugar Funeral Home 224 West Second Street S. Fulton.

Erma R. Arcadi, 82; of Fulton died Saturday at Oswego Hospital, Oswego.  She was born in Fulton and has remained a life resident of Fulton.  She retired from General Electric, Syracuse.  Mrs. Arcadi was a past member of the Italian American Club, and the Elk’s Lodge.  She was a communicant of Holy Family Church.  Mrs. Arcadi enjoyed bowling. She was pre-deceased by her husband Frank Arcadi, siblings:  Burton Hall, Theodore Hall, and Alberta Cary.  Mrs. Arcadi is survived by her children Randy Arcadi of Florida, Daniel Arcadi of Fair Haven, NY; Diane Bailey of Phoenix, NY; Constance Gasser of Maryland, sisters:  Shirley Froio of Fulton, Phyllis Baker of Cliffton Springs, NY, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services will be held 9:30 AM Wednesday at Holy Trinity Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.  Calling hours will be held 4:00 to 7:00 PM Tuesday Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of CNY 441 Kirkpatrick St. Syracuse, NY 13204.

Burdette P. Beeles, 77; formerly of Fulton died in Connecticut.  He was born in Fulton and he has been a lifetime resident of Fulton until recently moving to CT.  He retired from Sealright after 38 years.  Mr. Beeles was a United States Veteran having served in the Navy from 1951 to 1959.  He was a member and past president of the International Brotherhood of Paper Workers Local #54 for 18 years.  Mr. Beeles was a master electrician having owned and operated Beeles Electric, and was a member of the Fulton Electrical Board for 15 years.  Currently, Mr. Beeles still holds licensure in Fulton.  He was a life member of the Fulton VFW Post #569.  He was a member of the Fulton VFW honor Guard, served 3 years as Commander and 1 year as the Oswego County Commander.  He was a member of the VFW Cooties and State Commander of the Cooties from 1988 to 1989, and District Commander of the Cooties.  In the 1970’s he served as a board member of the United Way for 4 years.  He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and camper.  He was pre-deceased by his son Barry Beeles in 2007, brothers Elwood Beeles Jr., Cameron Beeles, George Beeles,  Donald Beeles, and William Beeles, half brother Milo Beeles, and half sister Lucretia Beeles. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Betty Beeles of CT., his son Bruce (Debbie) Beeles of CT., 2 sisters:  Shirley DeForest of Fulton, Dorothy Redfeld of CA, 3 grandchildren:  Jason, Jasmine, and Khia, and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc.  Burial will be in Fairdale Cemetery, Hannibal.  Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.

Cathy Marie Malambri, 55; of Rochester, NY died Tuesday at Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center after a long illness.  She was born in Fulton and she has been resident of Rochester since 1994.  She worked as in Procurement Analysis at RE Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, Rochester, NY.  Ms. Malambri was pre-deceased by her father Joseph Malambri in 1992.  She is survived by her mother Leah Malambri of Victor, NY, her brother Lee (Janine) Malambri of Indiana, her sisters:  Lillian (John) Bates of Maine, Jo (Thomas) Coker of Colorado and her nieces and nephews:  Leah, Katherine, Joseph, and Joshua.  Funeral Services will be conducted 9:00 AM Saturday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Mabel A. Phillips, 76; of Fulton died Thursday at University Hospital, Syracuse. She was born in New Haven, NY and has been a resident of Fulton for over 40 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. Mrs. Phillips retired as a Nurse’s Aid from Hillcrest Nursing Home, Oswego. She was a past member of the State St. Methodist Church, Fulton. Mrs. Phillips was a member of the Fulton Mills Association, Fulton Seniors Club, and an active attendant of the Fulton Alliance Church. She was pre-deceased by her husband Raymond Phillips in 1976, her daughter Diane Hayden in 2007, and her sister: Dorothy Smith. Mrs. Phillips is survived by her 2 sons: Richard Phillips of San Diego, CA, Vernon Phillips of North Syracuse, NY; 3 daughters: Lynn Shephard of Fulton, Rita (Bob) Davies of Fulton, and Ann Roy of Baldwinsville, her son-in-law John Hayden of Cicero, NY; 2 sisters: Beatrice Turner of San Diego, CA; Edna Lupo of FL, 7 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Timothy F. Frawley, 52; of Baldwinsville, NY died Saturday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse. He was born in Fulton and he has been a resident of Baldwinsville, NY for 20 years. He graduated from LeMoyne College with a Bachelor of Arts in History. He was past employed with Bishop Ludden as a History Teacher, and later with First Investors, Syracuse. He has been employed for over 25 years with Axa Equitable, Syracuse, as a well-respected Financial Advisor. Mr. Frawley also taught at Bryant and Stratton in their continuing education program. He was a communicant of St. Augustine’s Church, Baldwinsville, where he served as a lector and past member of the parish council. He was a past member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Baldwinsville, and in his earlier years he was an altar server at his home parish Immaculate Conception Church. Mr. Frawley loved photography and the Dallas Cowboys; although his greatest gift to those he loved was being a loving husband and dad. He was an active participant in his families’ activities especially his son’s athletics both as a photographer, dad, and biggest fan. He is pre-deceased by his dad Joseph Frawley in 2003. Mr. Frawley is survived by his wife of 20 years Lorrie Amo Frawley and his son Paul T. Frawley both of Baldwinsville, his mother Mrs. Sylvia Frawley of Fulton, 5 siblings: Michael (Maryanne) Frawley of MO, Robert (Diane) Frawley of Clifton Park, NY, James (Mary) Frawley of Fulton, Carol (Steve) Crooks of Clyde, NY, Deborah (Patrick) Pelkey of Oswego and will be held in loving memory by his nieces and nephews. Howard Wilcox, 62; of Fulton died Thursday, April 1st at his home. He was born in Fulton to the late Howard M. and Dorothy Wilcox. Mr. Wilcox was a United States Veteran having served in the Army from 1966 to 1969 during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired after 30 years from Par-K Enterprises, Fulton. He was a life member of Cody Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Wilcox enjoyed bowling and camping especially at the Woodsman Field Days in Boonville, NY. He was also an avid gardener. He is survived by his 4 brothers: Edward (Donna) Wilcox of Pennellville, NY, Robert (Joanne) Wilcox of Pennellville, NY, Richard (Janice) Wilcox of Castile, NY, Donald (Judy) Wilcox of Baldwinsville, NY; 2 sisters: Alice (Richard) Allen of Fulton, and Grace (Michael Donohue) Carroll of Baldwinsville, NY and several nieces and nephews.
