Josephine Hudyma

Josephine Hudyma, 93; of Fulton died at Oswego Hospital.  She was born in Frankfort, NY and she has been a life resident of Fulton.  Mrs. Hudyma retired after 30 years from Greco Appliances, Fulton.  She was a member of the PLAV, and the Tuesday Women’s Bowling League.  She was pre-deceased by her husband Carl Hudyma Sr. in 1956, her son Carl Hudyma Jr. in 1956, her siblings: Raymond Romanick, Mary Davis, Stella Petraske, twin sister Rose Kuznair, Myron Romanick, Peter Romanick, twin brothers: Peter and Paul Romanick and Fred Romanick.  She is survived by her daughter Nancy Close of Fulton, her brother Leo Romanick of Utica, sisters:  Helen Czeck and Dora Roik both of Fulton, 4 grandchildren:  Carrie (Steve) Bixby, Carl (Kara) Close, Calista (Rick) Amering, Christopher (Amanda) Close, 5 great grandchildren:  Ryan and Christopher Bixby, Nellie and Sophie Amering, Chloe Close and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held 11:30 AM     Wednesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Moritz Fuchs officiating.  Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.  Calling hours will be conducted 9:30 to 11:30 AM   Wednesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.

Penelope Wiltsie

Penelope Wiltsie, 70; of Fulton died Saturday at Oswego Hospital.  She was born in Little Falls, NY and she has been a resident of Fulton most of her life.  Mrs. Wiltsie was past employed as a Head Start Cook and Kitchen Aid with Oswego County Opportunities.  She was a volunteer for the Humane Society.  Mrs. Wiltsie was pre-deceased by her husband Roland Wiltsie, daughter Ramona Wiltsie and grandson Jonathon Wiltsie.  She is survived by her daughter Vanessa (Ellis) Rice of Fulton, and son Donald Wallace of Oswego, her grandchildren:  Jeremiah Wiltsie of Fulton, William (Jill) Rice of Oswego, Wendy (Matthew) Morrison of ME, Shelby, Kylie and Brooke Wallace all of Oswego, and 4 great grandchildren.  Funeral Service and burial will be private.  There will be no calling hours.  The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton has care of the arrangements.

Lenore Anne Trippi Morehouse

Lenore Anne Trippi Morehouse, 37; of Fulton passed away early Wednesday morning March 24th peacefully in her sleep.  Lenore graduated in 1990 from Litton High School in Schenectady, NY. She attended SCC, and studied to become an RN. Lenore and Hank met in Saratoga Springs, NY, and they were married February of 1993. Together they traveled the country with Hank’s Naval career.  Upon retiring from the Navy, the family settled in Fulton, NY. Lenore loved to travel, and had recently returned from a cruise. She was always ready to dance, loved roller coasters, and having fun. Her love for life was only exceeded by her love for her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 17 years Hank Morehouse of Fulton, their 2 sons:  Jonah and Ryan Morehouse both of Fulton, her parents Carol Pittinger Trippi of Fulton, and John Trippi of Schenectady, NY, her brother Frank (Kari) Trippi of Rhinebeck, NY, her grandmother Roselyn Pittinger Hass, her uncle Lawrence (Doreen) Pittinger, her aunts Benita Pittinger, Carol Trippi Cubbin, Lorraine (Frank) Loiacono, and several in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.  A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday March 28th at Temple Sinai, 509 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY.  Burial will be private.  There will be no calling hours.  The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton has care of the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers a scholarship fund has been established for her children Jonah/ Ryan Morehouse with Bank of America.

Matthew “Ticky” Bevacqua, 71; of Fulton died Friday at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Fulton the son of the late Constantine and Catherine Bevacqua. He retired from Sealright Co., Fulton after 22 years of employment.  Mr. Bevacqua was a United States Veteran having served in the Navy.  He is survived by his wife of 24 years Ellen Bevacqua of Fulton, his 3 children Matthew (Tiffany) Bevacqua of Fulton, Celeste (James) Carnes of Pulaski, Leita (William) King of Oswego; 3 step children:  Kelly Hollenbeck of Fulton, Shelly Hollenbeck of Syracuse, and Colleen Hollenbeck of Fulton, his brother and sisters Alfred (Marilyn) Bevacqua of Fulton, Tina Firenze of Fulton, and Mary (Harry) Place of Freeville, NY; 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services will be held 7:00 PM Wednesday at Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton with Rev. Gaetano Bacarro officiating.  Burial will be in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.  Calling hours will be held 4:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.

Robert L. Reynolds Sr., 57; of Fulton died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at University Hospital, Syracuse after a long illness.  He was born in Fulton, NY and he has been a resident of Fulton since 1973.  Mr. Reynolds worked locally for many years as an auto mechanic.  He was a 15-year volunteer fireman and past president with the Cody Volunteer fire Department.  Mr. Reynolds was a member of the Fulton Bowling Association.  He is survived by his wife of 37 years Jennifer C. Reynolds of Fulton, 3 children:  Robert (Sherri) Reynolds Jr., of Fulton, Carrie (James) Hoy of Fulton, Michael (Lisa) Reynolds of Fulton, 3 brothers:  Homer Reynolds Jr., and Norman Reynolds both of NC. and Paul Reynolds of TX., 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton with Rev. Vivian Summerville officiating.  Burial will be private.  Calling hours will be held 9:00 to 11:00 AM Saturday in the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc.

Mary Jean Fenske, 79; of Fulton, NY died Monday, March 15th after a long illness at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse.  Mrs. Fenske was born in Phoenix, NY and she has been a resident of Fulton for 4 years. She was a member of the Phoenix Grange.  Mrs. Fenske was pre-deceased by her husband Glen Fenske.  She is survived by her 9 children:  Marie (Mike) Louis of Fulton, Ruby (Ron) Maxam of Edgewater, FL., Albert (Gwenna) Dann Jr. of Temecula, CA., Wesley Dann of Syracuse, NY, Stella Fenske of Greenville, SC., Glen (Patricia) Fenske Jr., of Greenville, SC., Andrew (Dorothy) Fenske of Fulton, Glenda (Joe) Ellis of Wellford, SC., and Randy Fenske of Greenville, SC, 2 sisters:  Grace Ferrina of Phoenix, NY and Barbara Holden of Phoenix, NY several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services and Burial will be private.  There will be no calling hours.    Arrangements are in the care of the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Gabriel Granger, 34; of Fulton died Saturday at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse.  He was born in Oswego, NY and has currently been a resident Fulton, NY.  He is survived by 5 siblings:  Stephanie Granger of Parish, NY, Jackie Granger of Liverpool, NY, Michele Granger of Oswego, Jonathan Granger and Matthew Granger of Fulton, and several nieces and nephews.  There will be no funeral service. Burial will be held privately at Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.  Calling hours will be held 4:00 to 6:00 PM Friday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.

Rose Giordano, 93; of Fulton died Thursday, March 11, 2009 at Oswego Hospital.  She was born and has remained a resident of Fulton all of her life.  Mrs. Giordano retired from Birdseye, Fulton.  She was a communicant of Holy Family Church and former member of the Catholic Daughters Court Pere LeMoyne.  She was pre-deceased by her husband Frank Giordano in 1994, her brothers:  Louis and Joseph Ristagno, and sister Jennie Papaleo. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services will be held 11:30 AM Monday at Holy Trinity Church where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.  Burial will be held in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.  There will be no calling hours.  The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton has care of the arrangements.  Contributions: Michaud Residential Health Services Activity Fund, 453 Park St., Fulton, NY 13069.

Irene Lamie, 70; of Granby, NY died Tuesday at Oswego Hospital after a long illness.  She was born in Syracuse, NY and she has been a resident of Granby for over 40 years.  Mrs. Lamie retired after working with several financial institutions located in Syracuse and Oswego.  She was a past president of the Cody Volunteer Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary, and she was a past member of the Our Lady of the Rosary’s Altar Rosary Society, Hannibal.  She was pre-deceased by her first husband John Stirushnik in 1967 and her second husband James Lamie in 1997.  Mrs. Lamie is survived by her longtime companion Robert Baker of Granby, her 6 children:  Gregory (Kim) Stirushnik of Granby, Joseph Stirushnik of NC, Stephen (Sue) Stirushnik of Granby, David Stirushnik of NC, Eric (Lori) Stirushnik of NC, Theresa Lamie of NC, and 9 grandchildren:  Jeffery, Michael, Nicholas, Christopher, Stephanie, Shawn, Sarah, Jake, and Emily.  Funeral Services will be held at 9:15 AM Friday in the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., and 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Rosary, Hannibal where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Richard Morsiette.  Burial will be held in the spring at Fairdale Cemetery, Hannibal.  Calling hours will be conducted 4:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Lyman E. Loughrey, 86; of Oswego died Thursday at University Hospital, Syracuse after a short illness.  He was born in Minetto, NY.  He was the son of the late Edwin C. and Mary (Arroway) Loughrey.  Mr. Loughrey was a United States Veteran having served in the Army during WWII.  He retired in 1986 from the State University of New York at Oswego as a comptroller in auxiliary services.  Mr. Loughrey was a member of the Oswego Elk’s Lodge #271, Oswegotown Seniors, Oswego City Seniors, Oswego VFW, and the Oswego PLAV.  He is survived by his wife of 62 years Genevieve (Familo)  Loughrey of Oswego, their 3 children:  Karen (John) O’Brien of PA, Robert (Carol) Loughrey of Minetto, NY; and Michael (Cindy) Loughrey of Minetto, NY; 8 grandchildren:  Cathleen O’Brien, David O’Brien, Ryan Loughrey, Valerie (Brian) Siatkowski, Andrew Loughrey, Gina (Ron) Cusimano, Joshua Loughrey, and Nicholas Loughrey, 3 great grandchildren:  Robert and Justine Cusimano, and Vivian Siatkowski; and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services will be conducted 4:30 PM Sunday at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Inc., 147 W. 4th St. Oswego with Rev. Gaetano Bacarro officiating.  Burial will be held privately at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Oswego.  Calling hours will be held 2:00 to 4:30 PM Sunday at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home.  The family has requested that contributions be made to Sarah House, 100 Roberts Ave., Syracuse, NY 13207   and Friends of Oswego County Hospice, PO Box 102; Oswego, NY 13126.
