Stephen L. Turner Sr., 52; of Fulton. He was born in Syracuse, NY and he has been a resident of Fulton all of his life. Mr. Turner was past employed as a Machinist, and Computer Programmer involved with quality control at Fulton Tool, Fulton, NY. Mr. Turner was pre-deceased by his son Joseph Turner in 1982, his father Richard Turner, and step-dad Peter Kaminuk. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Joyce Turner of Fulton, his sons Stephen Turner Jr. of Syracuse, and Michael Turner of Fulton, his mother Rebecca Kaminuk of Fulton, siblings: Richard (Cindy) Turner of RI, Marybeth Pepper of Fulton, David (Diane) Turner of Fulton, and Charlotte Goss of Fulton, 1 grandson Kolson Turner, his mother-in-law and father-in-law Carmela and Jay Yager of Fulton and several nieces and nephews. Frances L. Cleveland, 65, of 131 West First Street, Oswego, N.Y. died at her home peacefully with her family after a short illness. Frankie was born in Inman, South Carolina to the late James and Mary (Smart) Cleveland. She resided in South Carolina until moving to Oswego in 2008. Frankie was an artist and has painted several paintings. Frankie loved spending time with her family and had made many close friends in Oswego. She is survived by her children James (Christina) Roddy of Oswego, Greta (Mark) Leonard of Inman, SC, her brother Samuel Cleveland of TX, and her grandchildren Delaney and KayeLeigh Roddy of Oswego, Madelyn, Greg, and Barrett Leonard of Inman SC. Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in South Carolina. The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 West Fourth Street Oswego. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the friends of Oswego County Hospice or Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, NY.
Donald Turner Sr., 80 of Mitchell St., Oswego died Sunday morning peacefully surrounded by his family. Mr. Turner was born in Oswego the son of the late Bliss and Doris (Perau) Turner, and he has remained a lifetime resident. Mr. Turner retired in 1987 from the Plumber and Steamfitters Local # 73. He was member of the ELKS Lodge, and he was an avid Bowler and golfer. Mr. Turner was predeceased by his wife Grace Turner in 2007. He is survived by his son Donald (Michelle) Turner Jr., of Oswego, his daughter Patricia (Brian) Coerse of Oakville, Ontario, and his siblings Mary (George) McGrath of Oswego, Ann (Robert) Pritchard of Oswego, Raejean (Gene) Barnes of Oswego, Veronica Baker of Oswego, Evelyn (John) Hogan of Oswego, John (Lee) Turner of Oswego, Bruce (Shirley) Turner of Oswego, and two grandchildren Matthew and Scott Turner. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, with Rev. John Hogan. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 West Fourth Street, Oswego.
Marian Z. Crandall, Oswego and Sackets Harbor, passed away peacefully November 6th at home at the age of 86. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Robert. Marian will be remembered by her friends and family as someone you could count on to pray for you and be there by your side through any crisis. Marian and her husband traveled to the Holy Land, Hawaii, The Caribbean, and all over the United States. She was a finalist twice in the Pillsbury Bakeoff and loved to cook. She was an avid writer and many will remember her for the book she wrote on losing a pet. Marian and her husband Bob were also guests on Oprah for a Valentine’s Day Special in the 80’s because of a story that she wrote telling why her husband was the love of her life. Marian is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Carl and Joyce Fowler of Pt. Salubrious, NY; her four children: daughter Billie (Dennis) Brady of Oswego, and 3 sons: Peter (Linda) Crandall of Rochester, Greg (Lissa) Crandall of NJ, Kris (Amy) Crandall of Clayton, NY; 8 grandchildren: Sean, Erik, Heather, Griffin, Nathan, Kody, Noah, and Jake, and 3 great grandchildren: Jace, Jaelynn, and Lorelai. Calling hours will be held 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday at Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4th St. Oswego. Funeral Services and Burial will be announced in the spring in Sackets Harbor, NY.
