  1. I was very impressed with Ms. McCuin’s knowledge of Dr. Mary Walker. As a self-professed Dr. Mary Walker ‘scholar,’ she was helpful in my own scholarship on our local hero.

Before Nancy McCuin/Rose Imhoff and Mark Coles’ play: “Champions Bold,” I didn’t know much about Dr. Mary at all. Her legacy is this play, I believe, and all of us in that audience who were influenced by them.

I thank her for all the help she gave me (sitting in her living room discussing Dr. Mary twenty odd years ago) in my search for information on this early female physician.

God bless you and your family.

Safe journey, Ms. McCuin. You will be remembered by more than me for years to come!
