Myrtle Louise Blaylock Molascon

Myrtle Louise Blaylock Molascon, 87; of Fulton, NY passed away Monday, December 22, 2008 at St. Luke Health Services, Oswego where she has been lovingly cared for during the past three years.  Mrs. Molascon was born February 7, 1921 in Bad Axe, Huron County, Michigan, to the late Isaac and Louise  (Baumgartner) Blaylock.  She grew up with her sisters on the family dairy farm outside of Bad Axe, MI.  She graduated from the Sacred Heart Elementary and Bad Axe High School where she was senior class president and valedictorian of the class of 1938.  After high school, she worked for Detroit Edison Company as a home service advisor and secretary.  Mrs. Molascon was united in marriage to Charles Joseph Molascon of Ubly, Huron County, Michigan on May 18, 1948 and settled into their home in Ubly to raise a family.  For many years, she worked from home as a seamstress until their youngest child entered school full-time.  She then went to work for Hubbard State Bank in Ubly.  In 1970, when her husband was transferred to Fulton by the Nestles Company they moved together and she went to work for Marine Midland Bank (now HSBC) from which she retired.  She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Ubly and Holy Family Church, Fulton.  Mrs. Molascon was pre-deceased by her husband Charles in 1999, their son Matthew in 1961 and her sister Doris Bennett.  Mrs. Molascon is survived by seven children:  Michael Charles Molascon of Caseville, MI; Margaret Kramer of Bad Axe, MI; Robert (Pamela) Molascon of Ann Arbor, MI; Mary (William) Ditzer of Fulton, Edward Molascon of Concord, CA; Laura (David Scott) Streeter of Fulton, and William (Claudia) Molascon of Fulton, 12 grandchildren, 2 two great-grandchildren, two sisters, Bette (Harold Andy) Krug of Bad Axe, Mi; and Virginia (Fred) Ruthko of Ubly, MI and many nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family in Michigan prior to burial in St. John Cemetery, Ubly, MI.  There will be no calling hours.  The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S.
