Myron “Jim” Harbison, 93, of Oswego, died Wednesday January 15, 2014, at St. Luke Health Services.
He was born in Oswego, the son of the late Eugene and Sarah Harbison.
Mr. Harbison retired from the United States Navy, and was a World War II veteran, after 25 years of service.
He later retired as manager of Alchol Beverage Control Store in Norfolk, Va.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge #271, Oswego, where he was honored as NYS Veteran of the year.
Mr. Harbison was a fourth degree Knight and life member with the Knights of Columbus Council #227, Oswego.
Mr. Harbison was predeceased by his wife, Mary Harbison, in 2008, after 68 years of marriage.
He is survived by several nieces, nephews; and close friends.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 9 a.m. in All Saints Mausoleum, Oswego.
