Maurine Caprin, of Fulton, died Friday from a severe asthmatic attack. Maurine was born in Fulton the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Evelyn Caprin. Maurine was a former employee of Nestle’s Co. She was a member Elks BPOE Lodge # 830, the VFW Post # 569, and she loved to play softball and go bowling. Maurine is survived by her sisters and brother Christine (Tim) Barlett of Parish, Raymond (Debbie) Caprin of Hannibal, Bernice (Jonne) Rowe of Fulton, Beth (Rick) Nixdorf of FL, close friend Pam Cordone of Fulton, several nieces,nephews,aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be Wednesday 9:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, Fulton where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be in Fairdale Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday 4:00 -7:00 p.m. at the Sugar Funeral Home 224 West 2nd St. S Fulton. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Humane Society. Maurine’s family would like to invite family and friends to join them at the Elks Lodge # 830, 57 Pierce Dr. Fulton following the funeral and burial to celebrate her life.

I went to school with Maurine, G. Ray Bodley. She was so friendly and always laughing. We saw each other briefly about a year ago when I was in Fulton. Still the same friendly person, was so great to see her. She will be missed.
