Lorraine E. Marano, 67; of Fulton, NY passed away peacefully Tuesday evening at her home. Mrs. Marano was born in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Henry and Elvera Denicola of Mullica Hill, NJ. Mrs. Marano was resident of NJ prior to moving to Scriba. Mrs Marano was a 1968 graduate of Glassboro State College and later earned her Masters Degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia. Mrs. Marano worked as a Librarian for many years at Cherry Hill High School East, NJ. She later became a games dealer and floor person for Resort’s International and Tropicana Casinos in Atlantic City, NJ. Mrs. Marano was a 1990 graduate of Syracuse University’s accelerated Paralegal program. She was a communicant and the organist at Sacred Heart Church, Scriba, NY and an organist for St. Peter’s Church, Oswego, NY from 1991 to 2004. Mrs. Marano was pre-deceased by her husband Nunzio “Nick” Marano in 2002. She is survived by her sister Marie (Carl) Wentzell, and a large Denicola family in Baton Rouge, La, and close friends who she considered to be family. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, 9:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Scriba, NY where Rev. George Wurz will celebrate a mass of Christian Burial. There will be no calling hours. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 West 4th. St Oswego.
