Loren B. “Butch” Guernsey

Loren B. “Butch” Guernsey, 79; of Fulton passed away Thursday at Seneca Hill Manor, Volney, NY after a short illness. He was born in Lysander, NY to the late Burton and Mildred (Payne) Guernsey. Mr. Guernsey was a resident of Fulton for most of his life. He was past employed at Plainville Turkey Farm, Plainville, NY. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing softball during his younger years. Mr. Guernsey also liked to play cards, watch television, and play his electronic Yahtzee game. He was pre-deceased by 3 infant children: Loren Guernsey II, Ricky Guernsey and Kristine Lee Guernsey. Mr. Guernsey is survived by his wife of 58 years: Marjorie Guernsey of Fulton, 7 children: Teresa Guernsey of Fulton, Marjorie (Kevin Sr.) Hines of NC, April Forsythe of Fulton, Berton (Brenda) Guernsey of Fulton, Colleen Guernsey of NC, Loren (Laura) Guernsey III of Westbury, NY, and Floyd Guernsey of Mexico, NY; 3 siblings: Patricia Lindsey of FL., Douglas Johnson of Pennellville, NY and Judith Johnson of Pennellville, NY; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service and Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Jacksonville Cemetery, Lysander, NY. There will be no calling hours. The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton has care of the arrangements.

  4. Words can not describe this man in any way shape or form. Everyone who has had the privilege of knowing him for years or for just a short while knows what kind of man he is.
    I have had the pleasure of having him in my life for 15 years. I will never forget his kindness, his love, and everything he stood for.
    My heart aches for the entire family as they enter this sad time. I hope and pray you will find a way to celebrate his life. As for your memory that is a gift I will hold onto forever.

  7. I have been married to this wonderful man for 58 years, We have had our good times and bad times like most couples do. He was my heart and soul! we had 10 children and alot of love. I miss him so much. My heart is so lonely, broke . I am at a loss of words to express what I really feel. A part of my world is gone. May you Rest In So Much Peace my Loving Husband, Until We Meet Again. I Love You And Miss You So Much. Love your wife Marge.

Burch you were more like a father figure for me anytime I needed answers you would have the answers for me when a lot of people didn’t like John and you gave him a chance you didn’t listen to others and I will always love you you will never be forgotten I love you with all my heart love you Billiejo and John
