Leah Norine Emley Malambri

Leah Norine Emley Malambri, 95; formerly of Fulton, NY passed away peacefully at Bennett Place, New Albany, Indiana. She was born March 17, 1921 in Wisner, Nebraska to the late Raymond and Lillian (Neilson) Emley. She was a longtime resident of Fulton, NY before moving to Indiana to be closer to her children. Leah worked as a Registered Nurse at the Douglas County Hospital in Omaha, NE when she met her late husband Sgt. Joseph S. Malambri. They later moved to Fulton, NY and opened their business Joe Malambri Trucking. Leah was also passed employed with A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital, Fulton. Upon their retirement, she and Joseph decided to move to Florida. She was a past member of the Holy Family Church, Fulton Altar Rosary Society and the Eagles Club in Hornell, NY. In addition to her husband Leah was pre-deceased by their daughter Cathy Malambri, and her siblings: Ruth Drobny, Marian Oliva, Charles, Joseph, John and Maurice Emley. She is survived by 3 children: son Lee (Janine) Malambri of IN, daughters: Lillian (Jack) Bates of ME and JoAnn (Tom) Coker of CO and sister Arliss Moreland of SD, 4 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 2 great granddaughters, 4 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held 4:00 to 6:00 PM Monday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton. Funeral Services will follow at 6:00 PM Monday in the funeral home with Rev. John Canorro officiating. Burial will be held in the Spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
