Lawrence M. Austin, 88; formerly of Lyons, NY passed away at University Hospital, Syracuse, NY after a short illness. He was born in Maine, NY to the late Oscar and Christine (Barrows) Austin. Mr. Austin has a been a resident of Fulton and more recently of Oswego since 2008. Mr. Austin retired from Autos Unlimited, Lyons, NY after many years of service. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and travelling with family in his younger years. Mr. Austin loved to eat donuts and he was a regular at McDonald’s where he would enjoy a good cup of coffee many times throughout the day. He was pre-deceased by his step-daughter Tina Weir in 2010. Mr. Austin is survived by his wife of 30 years Carolyn Austin of Oswego, 1 step-daughter Janel (Bryan) Salisbury of Fulton, 1 step-son James Salisbury of Fulton, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service and Burial will be held privately. There will be no calling hours. The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton has care of the arrangements.
