L. Angeline Canale, 95, of Oswego, died Friday evening January 12, 2018 at her son and daughter-in-law’s home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Canale was born in Oswego the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Murabito) Scaglione. She was a United States Veteran serving during World War II, in the Army Nurse Corp. Mrs. Canale worked for the Oswego Hospital as an operating room nurse from 1946 until her retirement in 1985. She was predeceased by her husband John Canale on July 18, 2017. Mrs. Canale is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Gregory and Zinovia Canale of Portsmouth, RI, her sister Rose Bush of Oswego and grandsons John, James and Christopher Canale. She was also predeceased by her brother Charles Scaglione, and sister Frances Potter. Funeral services will be Thursday 10:00 AM in St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. 4th. St. Oswego. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Mary of the Assumption Church building fund.
