Katherine E. Nastasi, 98; of Fulton passed away peacefully Monday at Seneca Hill Manor, Volney. Mrs. Nastasi was born in Fulton to the late Rosario and Concetta (Bisazza) Scaringi. She has been a resident of Hannibal, NY for most of her life. Mrs. Nastasi retired from Black Clawson, Fulton after several years of service as a secretary. She had a passion for gardening and she was an avid New York Yankees fan. Mrs. Nastasi loved spending time with her family and she also had a special place in her heart for her beloved cat “Angel.” Katherine was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph Nastasi Sr. in 1954, her daughter Patricia Maimone in 2017, her sister Carmella Nastasi and her brother John Scaringi. Mrs. Nastasi is survived by her 2 children: Joanne (William) Torbitt of Oswego, NY, and Joseph (Joan) Nastasi of Fulton, 6 grandchildren: Jacqueline, Tony and James Nastasi, Melissa (Brian) Mattice, Joseph (Sarah) Maimone, Casey Collins, and several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be conducted 4:00 to 6:00 PM Thursday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 West Second St. S. Fulton with Funeral Services following at 6:00 PM Thursday with Rev. John Canorro officiating. Burial of Mrs. Nastasi’s daughter Patricia Maimone will be held 9:30 AM Friday at St. Mary’s Cemetery followed by burial of her mother Mrs. Nastasi at 9:45 AM Friday at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
