John “Jack” Winterhalt

John “Jack” Winterhalt, 67, a former resident of Hannibal, and a longtime resident of Canandaigua, died Wednesday June 19, 2019 after a long illness, at the Light Hill hospice center, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Oswego, the son of Judson and Evelyn Winterhalt of Oswego. Jack was an electrician for the IBEW of Rochester. He served in the United States Navy from 1970 until 1975. Jack enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, and camping at Black Lake. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children Josh (Sara) Winterhalt of Canada; Jessica (Brad) Wanner of Rochester; Jake (Ana) Winterhalt of NYC; his five grandchildren, and the mother of his children Cyndi Winterhalt of Canandaigua. In addition he is survived by his siblings Chuck (Jackie) Winterhalt of Fulton; David (Kim) Winterhalt of Oswego; Melissa Hood of Oswego; close friend Vicky Harris of Canandaigua, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Jack was the kind of person that was always there for you. “He lived a good life, just not long enough”. Services are private.
