John J. Bonacorsi, 90, of Oswego died Sunday April 8, 2018 in St. Luke Health Services, Oswego. He was born in Giarre, Italy the son of the late Alfred and Leonarda (Ferlito) Bonacorsi. Mr. Bonacorsi worked for Lakeshore Transportation for over 42 years as a truck driver. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Bonacorsi is survived by his wife Amelia Bonacorsi of Oswego and their daughter Anne Marie (John) Coviello of Boston, and grandchildren Christina Marie Coviello, and Joseph John Coviello. He was predeceased by his siblings Sam Bonacorsi, Joe Bonacorsi, Tony Bonacorsi, Alfred Bonacorsi, Mary Messiano, and Jean Crandall. Funeral services will be Thursday April 12, 2018 at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. 4th. St. Oswego.
