Ida Maroney, 93; of Fulton died peacefully at home in her sleep Thursday, November 15, 2012. She was born in Fulton to the late Giacomo and Catherina (Lucaise) Fodera. She was previously employed with Nestles, Co., Fulton and General Electric, Syracuse, NY. Ida was a beautician and well-known and respected landlord in Fulton for many years. She was a dedicated servant of the Most High God, Jehovah (Psalms #83:18) for 63 years preaching the good news of God’s Kingdom and conducting free home bible studies. Mrs. Maroney was pre-deceased by her husband Carl Maroney in 1974. She is survived by her son William J. Maroney of Fulton and Sterling and a devoted niece Maria Franco Christensen of Penn Yan, NY, several nieces and nephews of CA, 1 niece Grace Fodera of MA. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 24th at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses West River Road, N., Fulton at 1:00 PM with Elder Randy Hibbert officiating. Memorial calling hours will be held from 12:00-1:00 PM Saturday prior to the service. Burial will be held privately in Fairdale Cemetery, Hannibal. The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton has care of the arrangements.
I am so sorry to learn of your mother’s passing, Bill. She was a proud and faith filled woman who guided you well. May you be comforted by the fact that you have had her to rely on oh these many years. Please accept my most sincere condolences on your mother’s passing.
