Gordon D. Chappell, 79; of Fulton died Friday at home. Mr. Chappell was born in Chateaugay, NY to the late Victor and Nellie (Pickeron) Chappell. He retired from the City of Fulton Traffic Division after 30 + years of service. Mr. Chappell loved to walk. He would walk 5+ miles every day. Mr. Chappell is survived by his wife Darlene Chappell of Auburn, NY, 3 children: Victor Gordon Chappell of Fulton, Christopher (Kelly) Chappell of Fulton, and Nicole (Douglas) Finley of Auburn, NY, 1 brother Maynard (Betty) Chappell of SC, 13 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. There will be no funeral service. Burial will be held privately. Calling hours will be conducted 9:00 to 11:00 am Saturday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.
