George T. Stephenson

George T. Stephenson, 90; of Fulton died Friday at Seneca Hill Manor, Volney. He was born Fulton to the late George and Irene (St. Onge) Stephenson. He remained a lifetime resident of Fulton. Mr. Stephenson was WWII Veteran having served in the Army from 1942-1945 in the European Theatre. He retired from Armstrong Industries, Fulton after 40+ years where he worked as a Quality Controller. Mr. Stephenson was a lifelong member of the Knights of Columbus Council #254. He was a 4th degree knight and a past member of the color corp. Mr. Stephenson was a member of the Volney Senior Citizens and Oswego County Visually Impaired. He was also a trainer with the RSVP Senior Bone Builders Group and a lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Church, Fulton and Holy Trinity Church, Fulton. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 43 years Reina Stephenson in 1994. Mr. Stephenson is survived by his children: Arthur (Sherry) Stephenson of CA, Thomas (Faith) Stephenson of Ottawa, Canada, Michael (Linda) Stephenson of Fulton, Mary (Daniel) Spier of Fulton, sister Pauline Chesbro of Florida, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM Saturday at Holy Trinity Church, Fulton where Rev. John Canorro and Rev. Robert Stephenson (nephew of George) will celebrate a mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours will be conducted Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.
