George G. Weldin, 85, of Oswego died Monday June 23, 2014 in Seneca Hill Manor, Volney NY. He was born in Granby, and has been a lifetime resident of Oswego County. Mr. Weldin retired from Carrier Corp. in Syracuse as an air compressor builder. He was a former Granby Volunteer Firefighter, a member of the National Campers and Hikers Association, and the Fulton and Oswego Stamp Club. Mr. Weldin was predeceased by his wife Charlene Weldin in 2014, his daughter Katrina, and grandson George Carvey. He is survived by his children Ola (Paul) Williams of AK, Bruce (June) Weldin of SC, Donnajean VanBuren of Fulton, stepdaughters Florence Ross and Cynthia Masuicca of Oswego, sister Nellie Hillman of Oswego, and several grandchildren. Funeral services, and burial will be private. The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. 4th. St. Oswego.
