Elizabeth A. Melfi, 88; of Fulton died Thursday at St. Luke Health Services, Oswego. Mrs. Melfi was born in Fulton to the late Amedeo and Gisella (Cuzzlin) Raponi. She has been a resident of Fulton all of her life. Mrs. Melfi was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was pre-deceased by her husband Patrick V. Melfi Sr., in 1991, son Patrick V. Melfi Jr., in 1971, siblings: Archie Raponi, Anthony Raponi, Alexander Raponi and Mary Ann Oot. She is survived by her brother Dante (Joy) Raponi of Panama City, Florida, and grandson Patrick V. Melfi III of Oswego and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday in Holy Trinity Church where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Canorro. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton. Calling hours will be conducted 4:00 to 6:00 PM Monday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.
Knowing that she is now in the arms of those she longed to be with brings peace to my heart and will always help me to celebrate her life. I will miss you forever, “You Are My Sunshine”!
Patrick, Although I didnt’t know Betty as you did I still really enjoyed her. She was quick witted and funny. May she rest peacefully with God. Sincereley, Kathie Michaud
