Eddie J. Hanshew Sr., 90; of Fulton died Thursday at Oswego Hospital, Oswego. He was born in Anderson, Indiana to the late Bennie Hanshew and Mary (Gault) Hanshew Chubb. Mr. Hanshew has been a resident of Fulton for most of his life. He was a United States Veteran having served in the Army as a paratrooper during WWII. He retried from Carrier Corp., Syracuse in 1983 after 25 years of service as a Set-up man and Leader. Mr. Hanshew was a member of the Fulton Believers Chapel, Fulton. He is pre-deceased by 3 children: Jack, Jim and Joaunna Hanshew, and his sister Gloria Stewart. Mr. Hanshew is survived by his wife of 66 years Beulah Hanshew of Fulton, 4 children: Yvonne Hanshew of Fulton, Theresa Burden of Fulton, Elizabeth Dishaw of Mexico and Eddie Hanshew Jr., of PA, 2 sisters: Margaret Munger of VA, and Mary Clapper of Syracuse, 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday in the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., with Rev. Mac Bixby officiating. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be conducted 2:00 to 5:00 PM Sunday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.
