Donald J. LaLonde

Donald J. Lalonde, 88, of Oswego died Thursday in the Oswego Hospital, after a short illness. Mr. LaLonde was born in Watertown, the son of the late Clarence and Ethel LaLonde, and has been a resident of Oswego since 1959.Mr. LaLonde owned LaLonde Plumbing, Watertown where he was a master plumber, he later worked as a pipefitter with the Plumbers & Steamfitter Local #73, Oswego. Mr. Lalonde was a member of Aurora of CNY, he was a former member of the ELKS, VFW and the American Legion.  Mr. LaLonde also served in the U.S.Navy during World War 2. He enjoyed outdoor sports especially golf and fishing. Mr. LaLonde is survived by his wife Jeanette LaLonde of Oswego, his children Dorothy (Michael) Rumrill of Oswego, Samual (Sherri) LaLonde of Oswego grandchildren Gabrielle, Emily, Mariah, and Samual II. Funeral services will be Tuesday 10:00 at the Church of the Resurrection. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday 4:00 – 7:00 at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 West 4th. St. Oswego.
