Dominic J. Colloca, 89, of 74 East Utica St., Oswego died Wednesday in St. Joseph Hospital, Syracuse. Mr. Colloca was born in Oswego the son of the late Sebastian and Dominica (Sammario) Colloca. He and his wife Ellen moved to Gouverneur, NY where they raised their family. Mr. Colloca owned and operared Gouverneur Motor Sales until his retirement in 1975. After his retirement, Mr. Colloca moved to Sarasota, Florida, before moving back to Oswego. He served in the United States Navy, during World War II, and the Korean War. He was a former member of the Elks Lodge, of Gouverneur, NY. Mr. Colloca enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was predeceased by his wife Ellen Colloca in 1992 and their infant son Bernard Fredrick Colloca. He is also predeceased by his brother James Colloca and sisters Carmella Colloca, Mary Cutro, and Jane Colloca. Mr. Colloca is survived by his daughters Jeanne (Bob) Young of Fayetteville, Judy (John) Tehonica of Florida, Maxine (David) Kalley of Arizona, and Connie (Jon) Ratner of Virginia. In addition to his children he is survived by his brothers Joseph Colloca of Oswego, and John (MaryHelen) Colloca of Oswego, and his sister Josephine Colloca of Oswego, and 5 grandchildren Michael, Jason, Jamie, Danny, and Josh, and six great grandchildren Elizabeth, Carolyn, Abby, Jonas, Dominic, and Tyler. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Gouverneur, NY Calling hours will be Friday 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 West Fourth Street Oswego.
