David Brenner, 80, of 225 W. 1st. St Oswego died Saturday evening at the Veteran’s Hospital, Syracuse. Mr. Brenner was born in Poughkeepsie, NY the son of the late William and Anne (Weeks) Brenner. Mr. Brenner was a resident of Poughkeepsie until moving to Oswego in 2012. He worked first as a Milkman in Poughkeepsie before, becoming a car dealer working at many local dealerships, later he was a roofer where he owned and operated Brenner’s Roofing in Poughkeepsie. Mr. Brenner served in the United States Navy during Korean War. He enjoyed hunting; fishing, trapping and gardening where he would sell vegetables to local farmer’s markets. He especially loved spending time with his family and sharing in all aspects of their lives. Mr. Brenner is survived by his children Joseph (Alex) Brenner of Milan, NY, Debra (Terry) McNulty of Oswego, Kimberly Brenner of VA, Maria (Michael) Cullinan of Millerton, NY, his sister Sally (Randy) Brogan of Maine, 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Sweet Funeral Home, Hyde Park NY. Calling hours will be Friday from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Sweet Funeral Home, Hyde Park, NY. Local arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 West Fourth Street, Oswego.
