Concetta Gianetto Pauldine, 90, of E. Fifth St., Oswego died Sunday November 19, 2017 at Pontiac Rehabilitation Center, Oswego. Mrs. Pauldine was born in Oswego the daughter of the late Dominic and Rose (Barbera) Gianetto. Mrs. Pauldine owned and operated Connie’s Beauty Shop in Oswego. She was the inventor of the rotating hair brush. Mrs. Pauldine was a seamstress and she was an antique collector. She was a communicate of St. Joseph Church. Mrs. Pauldine was predeceased by her husband Ralph V. Pauldine in 1993, her son John Pauldine in 1972 and her granddaughter. Mrs. Pauldine is survived by her children Mary Linda (Kevin) Plummer of Oswego; Ralph (Denise) Pauldine of Oswego; Joseph (Gia) Pauldine; Anthony Pauldine of Oswego; Michael Pauldine; of Oswego; James (Kathy) Pauldine of Oswego; and her brother Anthony Gianetto of CA. She is also survived by forty-five grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Mrs. Pauldine was predeceased by her siblings Joseph Gianetto, and Mary Moshier.
When Mrs. Pauldine was a young child she would talk through the fence to the refugee children at the safe haven, where friendships were forged. Funeral services will be conducted Friday November 24, 2017 at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Church. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4:00 to 6:00 PM Wednesday November 22, 2017 at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 W. 4th. St. Oswego.
