Charles E. Ahern, 74; of Oswego died Saturday at Oswego Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Ahern was born in Oswego the son of the late Dr. Charles and Mary Ahern. He moved back in 2005 to his hometown Oswego after living in California for several years. He retired as a sales manager from Thrifty Drug Corp., CA. Mr. Ahern served in the United States Army. He was also a communicant of St. Mary’s Assumption Church. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Linda Arduini Ahern of Oswego, daughters Marybeth (Scott) Ahern Johnson, and Lee Ann Ahern both of CA., his sister Denise (Paul) Ahern-Forberg, and several cousins. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am Friday at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4th St. Oswego, NY with Rev. Richard Morisette officiating. Burial will be held in California at the convenience of the family. The family would like to thank the staff of Morning Star and Oswego Hospital for their exceptional care and respect.
