Carmelina Santoro

Carmelina Santoro, 98; of Fulton died at Community General Hospital, Syracuse after a short illness.  She was born in Oswego to the late Charles and Rose (Patti) Penna.  Mrs. Santoro retired in 1965 after 37 years from Sealright Co., as a quality controller and typesetter.  She was an avid reader, and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, and participating in choir.  She was a volunteer with A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital’s snack bar, and reception desk.  She was also a volunteer with Lanigan Elementary School, Fulton.  Mrs. Santoro was pre-deceased by her husband Charles C. Santoro in 1978 and her son Charles R. Santoro in 2006.  She is survived by her son Dennis and daughter-in-law Sharon Santoro of Fulton, 2 nephews and several nieces.  Funeral Services will be conducted 9:30 AM Wednesday at Holy Trinity Church where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.  Burial will be held privately at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.  There will be no calling hours.  The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton, NY has care of the arrangements.

    It is with sadness that I read of the death of your mother. It appears that she did live a long and fruitful life. For that, and the memories you have of her, you can be grateful. Please know that you are in my thoughts at this time.
