Barbara A. Proppe, 86; formerly of 409 W. 1st St. Fulton died Saturday at her daughter’s home after a long illness.  She was born in Fulton and she has been a resident of Fulton for most of her life until recently moving to Altmar, NY.  Mrs. Proppe retired from General Foods as a Supervisor.  She was a 55-year member of the PLAV, and she was a communicant of Holy Family Church.  Mrs. Proppe was a member of the Holy Family Golden Agers.  She was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph Proppe in 1990.  She is survived by her children:  Joseph (Anne) Proppe of Baldwinsville, NY, and Pamela (Randy) Best of Altmar, NY; 8 grandchildren:  Sarah and Carrie Proppe of Baldwinsville, Heather Rodriquez of Syracuse, Jimmy, John, Krista, and MaryLynn McGivney all of Fulton, and Jennifer Best-Guyer of Ashville, NC; 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services will be conducted at 9:00 am Wednesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton and 9:30 am at Holy Family Church, Fulton where Rev. Stephen Wirkes will celebrate a mass of Christian Burial.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.  Calling hours will be held 4:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc.  Contributions may be made to CNY Hospice, 990 7th North St. Liverpool, NY 13088-6148.
