Barbara “Betty” Witowski

Barbara “Betty” Witowski, 95; of Fulton died Sunday at St. Luke Health Services.  She was born in Fulton, NY to the late Anna (Sullivan) and Martin Culkin.  She remained a lifetime resident of Fulton.  Mrs. Witowski retired from the accounting department in Sealright Co., Fulton after 20+ years of service.  Mrs. Witowski prepared the NYS Bingo reports for Holy Family Church.  She was a member of the Holy Family Altar Rosary Society. Mrs. Witowski and her husband shared their love of traveling out of state and to various beaches with their nieces and nephews.  She was an avid seamstress and gardener and willingly passed on her knowledge to her family.  “Aunt Betty” always enjoyed being a part of her nieces’ and nephews’ lives and she tried to listen, support and enrich them by always giving unconditional love to each and everyone of them.  She was pre-deceased by her husband of 55 years Stanley “Toots”  Witowski in 2002, her siblings: F. Charles Culkin, Marjorie Culkin, Robert J. Culkin Sr, and nephew Robert J. Culkin Jr.  She is survived by her sisters-in-law Virginia Colocino and Genevieve Witowski, nieces and nephews:  Richard Swierczek, Winifred Larkin, Patricia Culkin, Carol Tribble, Linda Hickein, Robert Colocino, Jean Ann Niver, Sandra Colocino, Dennis Colocino, Ronald Colocino, her cousin Charlene Mirabito and several great nieces and nephews.  Funeral Services will be conducted 9:30 AM Friday at Holy Trinity Church where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.  Burial will be held in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.  Calling hours will be held 4:00 to 6:00 PM Thursday at the Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S. Fulton.

  1. Dear Witowski Family and Friends,
    It was with deep sadness that I learned of Betty’s death. She was a wonderful woman who though highly of all her relatives and friends. Please know that I am thinking of her and of you all at this time. I know death is difficult for the survivors. But we know that Betty has now found eternal happiness.
